Synergy Earns “Healthiest Companies” Award for 12 Consecutive Years
In 2018, Synergy WorldWide, in conjunction with Nature’s Sunshine
Products, earned the “Healthiest Companies in America” award for the
12th consecutive year. While it is a wonderful accomplishment to
earn this award even one time, Nature’s Sunshine/Synergy is particularly
proud to be the only company to have earned it every year since the
program’s beginning!
Interactive Health evaluates the physical health of employees in
thousands of companies throughout the United States each year and awards
those that make health a top priority. Through various programs and
incentives, Nature’s Sunshine/Synergy has created a culture of health
and fitness to promote quality of life for its employees. In addition,
employees use Synergy products, enjoying quality nutrition, as a regular
part of their healthy routines.
We intend to continue earning the “healthiest company” title every year
as we work toward Elite Health alongside our Team Members and customers.

This year, Legacy Retreat brought qualifiers to England for a taste
of both the countryside and downtown London, one of earth’s most popular
tourist destinations. Synergy’s top leaders visited the mysterious
Stonehenge monument. They enjoyed a private tour of the Tower of London,
home to the magnificent Crown Jewels. They soared high on the London
Eye, climbed aboard a luxury dinner cruise on the Thames River, toured
Windsor Castle, Salisbury, Hampshire, and more. We’ve never experienced
anything quite like London. Legacy Retreat 2019 is one for the history
books!

Presidential Executives and above are eligible for air travel upgrades by achieving one of the three qualifications below:
• Maintain Presidential Executive or above rank 6 out of 12 months
(Presidential Executive, Double, and Triple need to qualify Presidential
Executive for 6 months)
• Achieve new Presidential Executive rank
• Maintain Presidential Executive rank 3 out of 12 months with 1 personally sponsored first-time qualifier

Researchers Discover More Than 100 New Gut Bacteria
In a significant leap forward for microbiome studies, researchers from
the Wellcome Sanger Institute and Hudson Institute of Medical Research,
Australia isolated and sequenced 105 brand new gut bacteria species.
Dr. Samuel Forster, first author on the research paper, said, “This
study has led to the creation of the largest and most comprehensive
public database of human health-associated intestinal bacteria. The gut
microbiome plays a major [role] in health and disease. This important
resource will fundamentally change the way researchers study the
microbiome.”
Studies like this one are crucial to our understanding of the mighty
microbiome, and it’s exciting to see more and more interest from the
medical and scientific community around this topic. As our own studies
conducted by The Hughes Center have
established, the microbiome impacts virtually every system in the human
body. With this particular discovery, we now know a little more about
the vast microbiome, and can further understand its role in helping
people achieve Elite Health.
