New Medical & Scientific Advisory Board Member

Synergy WorldWide, along with Nature’s Sunshine Products, is happy to announce that Dr. Sang Geon Kim, Ph.D. has joined our its Medical and Scientific Advisory Board. As a professor currently based in Seoul, Korea, Dr. Kim brings with him a wealth of global experience and expertise. It is a privilege to have him as part of the Synergy team.

The addition of Dr. Kim to our Medical and Scientific Advisory Board “will help drive our product development strategy of leveraging science-based intellectual property to solve mega-trend health problems,” said Gregory L. Probert, Chairman and CEO of Synergy/NSP. “We believe that Dr. Kim’s vast research in the field of metabolic dysfunction will allow him to be a terrific asset in terms of our product development. We’re excited about this partnership and look forward to the expertise that he brings to our company.”

Dr. Matt Tripp, Synergy/NSP’s Chief Scientific Officer, added, “Dr. Kim’s extensive research background and knowledge will be of great value in helping guide us to new discoveries and innovations.”

Background
Dr. Kim’s accomplishments are many. In 2010, he was honored by the President of the Republic of Korea, Ministry of Health and Welfare. Earlier that year, he was named the “Scientist of the Month” by the Ministry of Science and Education. He also received the Best Pharmacologist Award from the Korean Society of Pharmacology in 2008, among other honors. Dr. Kim has been published in peer reviewed journals more than 200 times. He has personally trained in his lab over 100 graduate students pursuing masters, doctoral and post-doctoral degrees.

Dr. Kim currently serves as Vice Director of the Research Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Seoul National University in Seoul, Korea. He is also the Director of the Innovative Drug Research Center for Metabolic and Inflammatory Disease (IDRC) at Seoul National University and maintains a professorship in the College of Pharmacy at the university. In addition, he sits on the Toxicology Advisory Board for the Korean Food and Drug Administration. Previously, he served as the Director of the Institute of Laboratory Animal Resources and as the Associate Dean of the College of Pharmacy, both in Seoul.

Dr. Kim earned his Ph.D. from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. He earned both his master’s degree in Pharmacology and his bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Seoul National University in Seoul, Korea.

Starting Tomorrow

Tomorrow is May 1, 2014– and it’s a big day for Synergy North America. Not only is it the beginning of Business Builder Conference month… not only is it a clean slate for Top 50 Challengers to win monthly prizes… it’s also a month where important changes go into effect for the benefit of customers across this great market.

New Pricing Structure
The simplified pricing structure that was announced on April 1 of this year will become effective starting tomorrow, May 1st. Within this new structure, Team Members and customers will find greater savings on our flagship product, ProArgi-9+, as greater quantities are purchased. We are happy to report that many Team Members have already begun to realize the benefits of this new structure and have been sharing the news with customers and contacts with positive results.

We’ve Heard You: ProArgi-9+ Jumbos

Many Team Members have requested the ability to continue ordering Jumbo canisters without the accompanying box of Single Serve Packets. Jumbo canisters can be ordered by themselves, priced according to the new structure at $235/170CV for the canister*.

Grandfathered Autoship Options
Jumbo Canister Orders: Team Members and preferred customers who have an active Autoship template containing Jumbo canisters of ProArgi-9+ will be able to continue paying the current price of $225* through August 31, 2014. At the end of these four months, the price will change following the simplified pricing structure that becomes effective tomorrow.

Autoship 100 Packs: The Autoship 100 Promotion Packs will expire today, April 30th. However, as announced on the first of this month, those who have active Autoship templates containing one of these Autoship 100 Promotion Packs as of April 30th will automatically be grandfathered in through August 2014.

Orders of 48 Packs
Beginning tomorrow, May 1, anyone who orders a bulk pack containing 48 canisters of ProArgi-9+ must adhere to the policy designed to protect Synergy Team Members and customers around the world. This policy includes an agreement form that must be signed before the purchase is made. Details can be found on the agreement form.

Note that this policy has been put in place as part of Synergy WorldWide’s ongoing effort to combat the sale of Synergy products on online auction sites such as Amazon and eBay. We remind you that section 11.14 of our official Policies and Procedures manual states that “Team Members may not sell Synergy products on eBay, Amazon, or any other Internet auction/shopping site.” Failure to adhere to this policy may result in termination from the company.

Synergy Founder to Present at Open House

This Friday’s Open House is primed to be one of our best yet. Based on feedback from many who attended January’s Open House, we have decided to again follow the new format featuring a powerful panel of speakers and trainers along with the guided tours.

January’s event hosted one of our biggest ever Open House crowds. These wonderful guests heard from a panel of speakers that included Double Presidential Executive Dianne Leavitt and Presidential Executives Rudy Pedroza and Paul Blad among others. These three accomplished business builders will be joining us again this weekend to share proven advice and their own impressive Synergy stories.

For the first time in 2014, this weekend’s event will also feature Synergy Founder Dan Higginson as a special presenter. Come hear about the beginnings of this company directly from the person who started it all! You’ll also hear about the mission of Synergy and the vision for our future.
